Irina Palm is a 2007 British drama film directed by Sam Garbarski. Maggie is played by British actress Marianne Faithfull in a rare leading role.
Maggie is a widow living in a small English town. Her only son Tom lives with his wife and daughter in Australia, leaving Maggie feeling lonely and isolated. When her grandson Ollie becomes seriously ill and needs expensive medical treatment in Australia, Maggie feels helpless. She tries to raise the money but is unsuccessful until she stumbles upon an adult entertainment club that is hiring older women to work as "hostesses."
