In the movie Inuyashiki, the middle-aged office worker is named Ichiro Inuyashiki, who leads a miserable life and is often ignored by his wife and children. One day, while walking his dog, he is mysteriously transported onto an alien spacecraft, along with another high school student named Hiro Shishigami.
During the encounter, the aliens accidentally kill both of them but realizing their mistake, they revive them and imbue them with advanced cybernetic technology that grants them extraordinary powers. As a result, Inuyashiki becomes a powerful cyborg with the ability to fly, shoot energy blasts, and heal any injury.
However, despite his newfound powers, Inuyashiki remains a mild-mannered, compassionate man who uses his abilities to help others. In contrast, Hiro, who is also gifted with cybernetic technology, becomes a twisted supervillain who uses his powers to commit heinous crimes.
As Inuyashiki tries to stop his former neighbor from wreaking havoc, he also has to deal with his own personal problems, including his strained family relationships, his terminal cancer diagnosis, and a society that often shuns him for being different.
The movie is a gripping and emotional story of two men who are given unimaginable power, and how they use it to shape their own destinies. It is a sci-fi fantasy drama with intriguing characters, breathtaking action sequences, and an underlying message about the importance of empathy and compassion.
