Intersect is a science fiction thriller film directed by Gus Holwerda. The movie tells the story of four brilliant Miskatonic University students - Ryan, Anna, Aaron, and Dave, who invent a time machine. Initially, they successfully test the machine and go back in time, but when they try to go further back, they are met with unforeseen consequences and their reality begins to unravel.
As they delve deeper into the workings of the machine, they discover that it is not their invention alone, and that a powerful and mysterious creature from another dimension is able to manipulate and control them. They are transported to alternate realities, facing their own shadows and worst fears, and usually coming back severely injured.
Driven by their desire to uncover the truth behind their invention, they must find a way to escape the clutches of the creature before it completely destroys them. However, the lines between reality and fantasy are blurred, and as they struggle to understand their situation, it becomes increasingly difficult to know what is real and what is not.
The film features an ensemble cast, with actors such as James Morrison, Jason Spisak, Richard Dawkins, and Abe Ruthless. It was released in theaters on August 27th, 2020, and is available on DVD and streaming platforms.
