After Capturing Claw, Inspector Gadget becomes famous and everyone wants a piece of him. However, the other inspectors and police officers are not thrilled with Gadget's antics and feel his methods are reckless and dangerous. A new version of the Gadget project is unveiled - G2, who is sleeker, faster and smarter than Gadget. G2 is tasked with catching Claw and other criminals, much to Gadget's disappointment.
Gadget feels sidelined and demoted and decides to make a deal with Claw, promising him that he will free him if Claw agrees to turn himself in once more. Claw helps Gadget by giving him an advanced gadget, a tool that can manipulate time. Gadget is delighted to have this new gadget but doesn't realize the dangerous consequences of using it.
Meanwhile, Claw manages to escape again, leaving G2 baffled and ashamed. G2 blames Gadget for helping Claw and causing chaos and confusion. Gadget, on the other hand, feels that his methods are still effective and refuses to give up on his ways.
Gadget, armed with his time-manipulating gadget, sets out to catch Claw once more. However, as he travels back and forth in time, he realizes that he has put the whole world in danger. The future is at stake, and only Gadget can save it. Can Gadget stop Claw and correct the timeline, or is the fate of the world doomed?
