Inside Moves is a 1980 drama film directed by Richard Donner and starring John Savage, David Morse, and Diana Scarwid. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Todd Walton.

The movie follows Rory (John Savage), a former basketball player who attempts suicide but fails, leaving him partially crippled. He starts spending time at a local bar where he meets a unique group of misfits, including a bartender named Jerry (David Morse), a blind man named Blue (Harold Russell), and a former boxer named Roary (Bill Henderson).

Jerry, who dreams of playing professional basketball, suddenly gets an opportunity to try out for the Golden State Warriors. His success provides hope and inspiration for the regulars at the bar, who have all struggled with their own personal demons.

As Jerry's career takes off, he faces challenges with his junkie hooker girlfriend (Diana Scarwid) and her violent pimp (Tony Burton). Meanwhile, Rory and the rest of the bar regulars must come to terms with the changes in their friend's life and their own inner struggles.

The film is a poignant portrayal of redemption, friendship, and the power of hope, with strong performances from the entire cast. It was critically acclaimed upon its release and has since become a cult classic.
