Inside Man follows the story of Detective James Cassidy, who was once a respected member of the police force but suffered a major meltdown while on the job. As consequence, he is demoted to desk duty, where he spends his time filing paperwork and yearning to be back in the field.
However, when a series of brutal murders linked to the city's most powerful criminal organization, the Albanian Mob, begin to rock the city, Cassidy is given a second chance to prove himself. Tasked with going undercover to take down the mob's most ruthless killer, Cassidy jumps at the chance to redeem himself.
As he dives deeper into the world of organized crime, Cassidy finds himself losing touch with his own identity, becoming increasingly obsessed with his role and the dangerous lifestyle that comes with it. His erratic behavior soon draws the attention of his superiors and he is ordered to bring the killer to justice before he is consumed by his own desire for redemption.
