Inside I'm Dancing is a heartwarming movie about the friendship between two physically disabled young men, Michael and Rory. Michael, who has cerebral palsy, is a resident of the Carrigmore Residential Home for the Disabled and has been living there for most of his life. He has a positive outlook on life and is very witty and intelligent but lacks any sense of independence.

Rory, on the other hand, is a maverick who is fierce, adventurous, and outgoing. He moves into Carrigmore and befriends Michael, and the two disabled men form an unlikely friendship, despite their differences. Rory takes Michael on adventures outside of the care home, teaching Michael how to be independent and live life to the fullest.

Eileen, the strict caretaker of the Carrigmore home, disapproves of Rory's influence on Michael and the two have several run-ins throughout the film. Meanwhile, Michael falls in love with a fellow resident, Siobhan, and the two struggle to start a relationship, but with Rory's encouragement, Michael learns to be more confident in himself and his abilities.

The film's climax sees the three friends embark on a wild adventure to Dublin where they confront Eileen, but ultimately learn to appreciate each other and cherish their unique friendship. Inside I'm Dancing is a touching story about the power of true friendship, self-discovery, and overcoming limitations.
