Innocent Witness is a South Korean legal thriller film directed by Lee Han. The movie follows the story of Mi-ran, a housekeeper who is accused of murdering an old man suffering from depression. Mi-ran is arrested and charged with the crime, but she maintains her innocence.

Sun-ho, an experienced defense attorney, takes on Mi-ran's case and begins to dig deeper into the case. However, he quickly realizes that the only witness to the crime is Ji-woo, a teenage girl with Asperger's syndrome who witnessed the murder while delivering food to the old man.

Sun-ho meets with Ji-woo and her mother, who are hesitant to have Ji-woo testify due to her social and communication difficulties. However, Sun-ho recognizes Ji-woo's unique ability to recall details accurately and persuades her to take the stand.

As the trial progresses, Sun-ho faces many challenges, including the prosecutor's attempts to discredit Ji-woo's testimony due to her condition. Nevertheless, Ji-woo delivers a compelling account of the events and helps Sun-ho uncover crucial evidence that leads to the true perpetrator.

Innocent Witness is a heartwarming film that underscores the importance of empathy and understanding towards those who are different. The film also highlights the challenges faced by those with special needs and their unique contributions to society.
