The movie Infection is a horror thriller movie that released in 2021. Directed by Flavio Pedota and written by Luis and Flavio Pedota, the movie takes place in Venezuela where a new strain of rabies virus outbreak begins to spread quickly. The virus causes the infected individuals to go into an uncontrollable rage, leaving them aggressive and cannibalistic.
Doctor Adam Vargas, who works in a hospital in Caracas, gets caught in the middle of the outbreak when his son gets accidentally exposed to the virus. With no cure available, Doctor Vargas embarks on a dangerous journey across a ravaged Venezuela, trying to protect his son from contracting the deadly virus.
Along the way, Doctor Vargas encounters numerous challenges and obstacles, including hostile survivors, looters, and crazed infected individuals. However, he remains determined and stops at nothing to ensure his son's safety.
Adding up to the chaos is the presence of a Russian man who was under the influence of the Krokodil drug when he got exposed to the virus, and he has become a carrier of the virus. He inadvertently triggers the spread of the virus, leading to a widespread outbreak.
With stunning cinematography, intense action sequences, and gripping suspense, Infection is a gripping horror movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
