Comedy,Drama  Canada,United States of America

Indian Summer is a 1993 American comedy-drama film directed by Mike Binder. The film follows a group of seven childhood friends, now in their thirties, who reunite at Camp Tamakwa, a summer camp they attended as children. The plot of the movie revolves around their time at the camp and how their experiences there helped them grow as individuals and shaped their lives.

The group of friends consists of Beth Warden (played by Julie Warner), Jack Belston (played by Bill Paxton), Jennifer Morton (played by Elizabeth Perkins), Matthew Berman (played by Kevin Pollak), Kelly Berman (played by Kimberly Williams-Paisley), Brad Berman (played by Matt Craven), and Jamie Ross (played by Diane Lane). They all arrive at the camp and start reminiscing about their time spent there as children. They soon realize that the camp has changed quite a bit since their last visit. The cabins and facilities have become run-down, and the activities that they once enjoyed are no longer available.

As they spend more time at the camp, each of the characters deals with their own personal struggles. Beth is a successful fashion designer but is unhappy with her life. Jack is a wealthy businessman, but his marriage is falling apart. Jennifer is a divorced mother of two, struggling to find love again. Matthew is an accountant who is bored with his job. Kelly is a college student who is unsure about her future. Brad is a doctor dealing with his wife's illness. Jamie is a successful restauranteur but is still haunted by her past.

Throughout the film, the characters bond over their shared experiences and work through their personal struggles. They participate in camp activities, such as canoeing and talent shows, and reflect on their childhood memories. However, the camp's owner, Unca Lou (played by Alan Arkin), announces that he plans to sell the camp. This news devastates the group, and they all work together to try and save the camp by organizing a fundraising event.

In the end, the group manages to save the camp, and they all leave with a renewed sense of purpose and direction in their lives. They say goodbye to each other, promising to keep in touch and return to the camp in the future.

Indian Summer received mixed reviews from critics but has become a cult classic over the years. The film is regarded as a heartwarming comedy-drama that explores the themes of nostalgia, friendship, and personal growth.
