Incredibles 2 picks up right where the first Incredibles movie ended, with the superhero family fighting the villainous Underminer. After the battle, the family is approached by billionaire Winston Deavor and his tech-savvy sister, Evelyn, who want to help superheroes gain public trust and have them legalized once again.
Winston believes that Elastigirl (Helen Parr) is the best choice as the face of their campaign and they hire her to fight crime in the city to prove that superheroes can be trusted. Meanwhile, Mr. Incredible (Bob Parr) is left at home to take care of their three children – Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack – while struggling with his own daddy duties and feeling a bit left out of the superhero world.
As Elastigirl dives back into the superhero action and battles the Screenslaver, a villain who uses television screens to hypnotize people, Mr. Incredible has his own struggles to deal with at home. Violet is dealing with boy trouble, Dash has math problems, and Jack-Jack’s growing powers keep surprising them all.
The movie explores the dynamics of a family where the mother is the breadwinner and the father is the primary caregiver, highlighting the challenges that come with parenting and balancing work. Incredibles 2 is a long-awaited sequel that does not disappoint, with action-packed scenes, hilarious moments, and heartwarming family interactions.
