The movie Incident at Crestridge follows the story of Jill McDowell, a brave and determined woman who runs for the position of the sheriff in a small town in the West. Jill is appalled by the rampant corruption and incompetence of the local law enforcement, and she is determined to clean up the system and restore law and order to the town.
Initially, Jill faces stiff opposition from her male counterparts and the corrupt officials who are backing them. However, with the support of her family and other allies, she manages to mount a successful campaign and eventually wins the election.
However, her challenges are far from over. As she takes office, she discovers that the corruption and brutality of her predecessors run far deeper than she imagined. Jill's determination and courage are put to the test as she battles to bring the corrupt officials to justice and restore the town's faith in its law enforcement.
Complicating matters, Jill finds herself falling for one of her deputies, a man who is struggling to reconcile his own past mistakes with his newfound commitment to the principles of justice and fairness.
Through it all, Jill remains steadfast and committed to her mission, and in the end, she emerges as a hero, not only to the people of Crestridge but to anyone who has ever fought against corruption and abuse of power.
