In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale is a 2007 fantasy film directed by Uwe Boll. The film follows Farmer (played by Jason Statham), a simple man who lives in a peaceful village with his wife, son and other villagers. However, his simple life is about to change when the Krugs, a race of animal-warriors under the control of the evil wizard Gallian (played by Ray Liotta), attack his village, killing his son and kidnapping his wife, Solana (played by Claire Forlani).
Determined to rescue his wife and avenge his son's death, Farmer sets out on a journey, accompanied by a band of warriors and a wizard named Merick (played by John Rhys-Davies). Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and enemies, including the Krugs and Gallian's soldiers.
As they journey through the kingdom, they also learn more about Gallian's plot to take over the kingdom and the role of a prophesized chosen one who is meant to stop him. In the end, Farmer faces off against Gallian in a final battle to save his wife and the kingdom from his control.
The film also stars Leelee Sobieski as Muriella, a skilled fighter who joins Farmer's group, and Burt Reynolds as King Konreid, the ruler of the kingdom. Despite mixed reviews, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale gained a cult following for its entertaining action scenes and cast.
