Comedy,Drama,Mystery,Thriller  France

In the House is a French psychological thriller directed by François Ozon. The movie revolves around a sixteen-year-old student named Claude Garcia who becomes obsessed with his classmate Rapha Artole and his family. Claude insinuates himself into Rapha's house under the guise of tutoring him in literature. However, he is secretly using the experiences in the Artoles' home as material for his essays for his French teacher, Germaine.

As his essays become more and more intimate, Germaine becomes increasingly fascinated by Claude's subject matter and his writing talent. Germaine begins to encourage Claude to continue observing the Artole family and to write more essays about his experiences.

As Claude's obsession with Rapha and his family intensifies, he begins to manipulate their lives, causing chaos and turmoil. Rapha's mother becomes increasingly unstable, and his father's reputation as a respected publisher is threatened. Meanwhile, Germaine becomes entangled in Claude's web and finds herself questioning her own sanity as she becomes wrapped up in his dangerous game.

The film explores the themes of voyeurism, obsession, and the power of storytelling. It forces the audience to question the morality of the characters and the effects of their actions. The climax of the movie is a tense sequence that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.

In the end, the consequences of Claude's actions are revealed, and Germaine is left with a sense of guilt and a deep admiration for the boy's writing talent. The movie received critical acclaim upon release and won the Golden Shell at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
