In the Blood is a 2014 action-thriller film directed by John Stockwell. The movie follows the story of Ava (Gina Carano), a highly trained fighter who is on her honeymoon in the Caribbean with her husband Derek (Cam Gigandet). During a zip lining excursion, Derek falls and injures himself. Ava takes him to the hospital, but while there, he is mysteriously whisked away by some unknown people.
Ava starts to investigate on her own, but the local police dismiss her concerns. She then turns to the criminal underworld of the island, where she discovers that her husband might have been involved in some shady business deals. As Ava digs deeper, she realizes that the people responsible for her husband's disappearance are part of a bigger organization involved in human trafficking.
Determined to find her husband and bring the perpetrators to justice, Ava unleashes her skills as a deadly fighter. She fights her way through the dangerous criminal gangs and corrupt officials on the island, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.
