The protagonist, Mark, is a tech geek who has been struggling to get investors for his matchmaking app. But things turn around when he finally lands an investor who is impressed by the algorithm of his app. However, the investor challenges Mark to find love using his own app.
As fate would have it, Mark is matched with a beautiful Mexican girl, Sofia, who doesn't speak English. Despite the language barrier, Mark is smitten with Sofia. But his friends convince him that the algorithm must be flawed since Mark and Sofia can't communicate with each other.
Determined to prove his app's credibility, Mark and his friends travel to wine country in Baja California, Mexico, where they embark on adventurous activities and try to communicate with the locals in hopes of finding someone who can translate for Mark and Sofia. Along the way, they stumble across cultural differences that test their patience and understanding.
Through their journey, Mark and Sofia slowly begin to understand each other without the aid of language. The film explores themes of cross-cultural communication, love, and the power of technology in bringing people together. In the end, Mark proves that his app's algorithm wasn't screwy and finds love in unexpected ways.
