Nils is a quiet, dependable snowplow driver in a small mountain town in Norway. Despite his mundane job, Nils is highly respected in the community and is the recipient of the Citizen of the Year award for his civic contributions. However, his peaceful life is shattered when his son is found dead of a heroin overdose.
Nils is convinced that his son was not a drug addict and that foul play was involved. His investigation leads him to the Serbian drug lords who operate in the town. Nils takes matters into his own hands and starts a revenge mission against the drug dealers. He systematically takes them out one by one, staging each death to look like an accident.
The Serbian drug cartel realizes that they are being targeted, and they launch their own retaliation against Nils. The situation spirals out of control when a ruthless criminal mastermind known as “The Count” declares war on the cartel. Nils finds himself caught in the crossfire of an escalating underworld war between two violent criminal organizations.
As the body count rises, Nils becomes a hero in the eyes of the townspeople but a dangerous enemy to both the drug cartel and The Count. In Order of Disappearance is a darkly humorous, violent, and entertaining film that explores the ethics of revenge and the nature of justice.
