In Action follows Sean and Eric, two aspiring screenwriters who dream of writing the next big Hollywood blockbuster. They stumble upon an idea for an action movie which they think is genius, and set about writing the script.
Unbeknownst to them, their script is intercepted by the government, who believe that it contains plans for a real-life terrorist attack. The duo suddenly find themselves in over their heads as they become embroiled in a dangerous and complex web of international intrigue.
As the government drags them into an ever-widening investigation, Sean and Eric have to use all of their creative talents to prove their innocence and clear their names. Along the way, they encounter a host of colorful characters, including a rogue CIA agent, a ruthless terrorist mastermind, and an eccentric film producer with a penchant for action.
