Il Mare is a romantic fantasy movie, directed by Lee Hyun-seung, released in South Korea in 2000. The movie stars Jung Ji-hoon (Rain), Jeon Ji-hyun, and Kim Mu-saeng. The plot centers around a unique mailbox that connects two people from different time periods who end up falling in love.

Nevertheless, they fall in love with each other again but know that they cannot be together due to the time difference.
The movie ends with Eun-joo sending a final letter to Sung-hyun, saying goodbye and thanking him for the memories they shared. The mailbox disappears, representing that their connection has ended, and the two look up at the night sky, hoping that they will meet again in another time. The film is a heartwarming story that explores love, fate, and time.
