Igor is a 2008 animated comedy-adventure movie produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The story is set in the kingdom of Malaria, a place where every year, the most evil invention is rewarded with the award of Evil invention of the year. The kingdom is run by a mad scientist named Dr. Glickenstein, and all the inhabitants are either mad scientists or their assistants.
Igor, a hunchbacked lab assistant, born and bred to serve as the stereotype of the Igor characters, dreams of becoming an inventor. He is different from the others in that he wants to create something meaningful instead of contributing to the world's destruction. Secretly, he is working on his invention, a monster named Eva, and hopes to win the Evil Invention of the Year Award to prove himself.
The other evil scientists in the kingdom hate Igor and his aspirations, and they never let him forget his place. One day, Igor's master dies under mysterious circumstances, and he sees this as an opportunity to enter his invention in the contest. Igor teams up with two other ambitious assistants, Brain and Scamper, to bring his creation to life secretly.
Things take an unexpected turn when Eva proves to be uncontrollable, and Igor has to race against time to save the kingdom of Malaria and prove to everyone that he is more than just an Igor. He faces many challenges, including sabotage attempts by the other scientists who do not want him to win. In the end, with hard work, determination, and a bit of luck, Igor manages to save the day and create a meaningful invention that will benefit the world.
