The Three Stooges star in this zany comedy, which opens with Moe appearing in court, charged with assaulting his fellow Stooges with an ax. Moe explains that he and his friends had gone on a hunting trip in an effort to help Moe deal with his nerves. However, their outing quickly went awry, as they found themselves face-to-face with a fearsome bear.
In an attempt to subdue the beast, Curly and Larry bopped it on the head with a hatchet, rendering it unconscious. Realizing they had no way to transport the large animal, they decided to load the bear into the back of their car and bring it back to civilization. Unfortunately, the bear awoke during the journey and wreaked havoc on the vehicle, sending Moe tumbling out onto the side of the road.
Moe's sudden departure caused the car to spin out of control and crash into a tree. When Moe regains consciousness, he finds himself in a courtroom, accused of attacking his pals with an ax. Despite his detailed explanation of the events that led up to the incident, the judge sees no choice but to find Moe guilty.
To Moe's surprise, however, the judge immediately turns around and sentences Curly and Larry to a year in jail for their reckless behavior with the bear. Feeling vindicated, Moe exits the courthouse, only to quickly change his mind and decide to take matters into his own hands. The film ends with Moe once again chasing after Curly and Larry with an ax, suggesting that the Three Stooges will continue to bring laughs and chaos wherever they go.
