"Identity" is a 2003 psychological thriller directed by James Mangold. The movie is set in a desolate desert motel in Nevada, where ten strangers are stranded due to a heavy rainstorm. The guests are an eclectic mix of characters, including a limousine driver (John Cusack), a retired police officer (Ray Liotta), a prostitute (Amanda Peet), a couple with a young son, and a pair of newlyweds.
As the night goes on, strange things start happening. One by one, the guests are killed in brutal and gruesome fashion. It soon becomes clear that there is a deranged murderer on the loose, and the remaining guests must band together to try to survive the night.
As the body count rises, tensions run high among the survivors. Suspicion and paranoia set in as each person tries to figure out who the killer is. There are numerous twists and turns in the plot, with clues and red herrings carefully scattered throughout.
Ultimately, it is revealed that the events at the motel are not what they seem, and the true nature of the killer's identity is shockingly revealed. The movie concludes with a chilling twist that will leave viewers unsure of what they just witnessed.
