In Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Manny and his mate Ellie are expecting their first child, which causes Manny to become overprotective. Meanwhile, Sid discovers three abandoned eggs and decides to raise them as his own, but they hatch into baby dinosaurs who cause havoc in the group's underground home.
When the mother dinosaur comes looking for her offspring, she takes the entire gang, including Ellie, with her to a mysterious land above ground where they encounter many different species of dinosaurs. Diego, who had previously encountered the dinosaurs when he was younger, is initially hesitant to join the group, but eventually comes to their aid.
Along the way, the group meets a swashbuckling weasel named Buck, who helps them navigate the treacherous terrain and find their way back to their home. However, the adventure is not without danger as the gang must overcome many obstacles and face off against fierce dinosaurs in order to survive.
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was the third installment in the popular Ice Age franchise and was released in 2009. The film was a box office success, grossing over $886 million worldwide.
