I soliti idioti

Comedy  Italy

I soliti idioti is an Italian comedy film released in 2011. The film tells the story of two brothers, Francesco (Francesco Mandelli) and Fabio (Fabrizio Biggio), who are seen as social outcasts due to their peculiar behavior.

Francesco and Fabio are hardly accomplished anything in life, and they survive by performing small-time scams and petty theft. They have low-paying jobs, a derelict car that barely starts, and an apartment in a run-down area. They are near thirty but are still single and living with their parents.

The plot of the movie revolves around their misadventures as they stumble from one blunder to another, making fun of politicians, traffic wardens, and members of society. They believe that they are hilarious and charming, but in reality, they are just rude, crude, and annoying. Francesco and Fabio's juvenile behavior and antics often lead them into trouble and put their lives in danger.

In the movie, we see how they get involved with a group of dangerous gangsters and how they somehow manage to get out of trouble. The film also shows the brothers struggling with their relationships with their parents and romantic partners, who are understandably frustrated with their immature behavior.

Overall, I soliti idioti is a slapstick comedy that is enjoyable for those who appreciate silly, low-brow humor and don't mind a lack of subtlety. The two lead actors put on great performances, and the movie is well-directed, giving us an insight into the lives of two modern-day idiots.
