In the movie I Love My Mum, the mother and son duo, called Maureen and Jack, have a strained relationship that has led them to drift apart. But when they end up unintentionally locked in a container that gets shipped to Morocco, they are forced to spend time together and rekindle their bond.
With no money, clothes, or passports, the duo must rely on their wits and charm to navigate through Spain and France to make their way back to London. Along the way, they meet a variety of colorful characters who aid them in their journey, like a kind truck driver who offers them a ride and a flamboyant Frenchman who invites them to his villa.
However, as they face challenges and obstacles, the mother and son duo begin to confront the issues that have caused their relationship to falter. They have to work together not only to get home but also to rebuild their connection and mutual understanding.
