Sophia is a troubled young girl who constantly gets into trouble at school, but at home she escapes into a world of fantasy where she believes that giants exist and that she is the only one who can fight them. She spends most of her time creating elaborate traps and weapons to fight the giants that she believes are lurking around every corner.

Barbara, an eccentric older girl, takes notice of Sophia's strange behavior and begins to befriend her. Barbara is initially skeptical about Sophia's claims of giants, but eventually she comes to believe in them too. Together, they begin to plan their next attack on the giants.

As Sophia becomes more invested in her fantasy world, her behavior becomes increasingly erratic. She starts to isolate herself from her family and peers and is clearly struggling with some kind of emotional turmoil. Throughout the film, it becomes clear that Sophia is using her fantastical battles with the giants as a way of coping with a traumatic event in her life.

Meanwhile, the real world continues to intrude on Sophia's fantasy. Her school counselor, played by Zoe Saldana, tries to help her navigate her problems, but Sophia resists her efforts. As the film progresses, it becomes clear that Sophia's problems are not going to be resolved simply by slaying giants. She must come to terms with the trauma that led to her obsession and learn to move on from it.

Despite its fantastical elements, I Kill Giants is ultimately a story about the importance of facing one's problems head-on and learning to find strength in oneself. The film is anchored by a powerful performance from Madison Wolfe, who captures Sophia's vulnerability and resilience with great skill. With its unforgettable imagery and deeply moving story, I Kill Giants is a must-see film for anyone who has ever felt lost or alone.
