Layne is a talented musician who has hit a creative roadblock and feels like she has lost her passion for music. She decides to head back to her hometown of Nashville for New Year's Eve to recharge and hopefully find the spark that she is missing.
While in Nashville, Layne reconnects with old friends and finds herself drawn to a handsome bartender named Beck. As they spend time together, Layne begins to open up about her struggles with writer's block and Beck encourages her to let go and just feel the music.
Throughout the night, Layne and Beck explore the city, attending various NYE parties and performances. They both start to develop feelings for each other and share a memorable kiss as the clock strikes midnight.
With Beck's encouragement, Layne finally finds her creative inspiration and writes a new song that captures the magic of their night together. As she performs the song at a local bar, Beck joins her onstage to sing along, solidifying their newfound connection.
