I Got the Hook Up is a 1998 comedy film directed by Michael Martin. It stars Master P as Black and Anthony Johnson as Blue, two best friends who run a small-time scam operation in a rundown section of the city.
One day, Black and Blue stumble upon a shipment of cellphones that were accidentally left behind at a dock. They decide to sell them out of the back of their van and quickly become successful, attracting a large number of customers. However, the phones soon start malfunctioning, causing a string of complaints and leading the FBI to investigate.
As Black and Blue struggle to handle the chaos caused by faulty phones and unsatisfied customers, they must also avoid being caught by the FBI. Along the way, they ally themselves with a variety of colorful characters, including a local rapper, a stripper, and a corrupt cop.
Despite the obstacles in their path, Black and Blue remain determined to turn their scam into a legitimate business. They improvise and work through their problems together, ultimately learning valuable lessons about loyalty and the importance of hard work.
