As Takuma and Mayu grow older, their friendship blossoms into a romantic relationship. However, Takuma's heart condition worsens and he is advised to undergo a risky surgery that may extend his life. Throughout the film, the couple grapples with their feelings for each other while coming to terms with Takuma's looming mortality.
As the surgery date approaches, Takuma begins to push Mayu away, knowing that his death will cause her immense pain. But Mayu insists on staying by his side, and the two continue to spend time together, enjoying each other's company and making the most of the time they have left.
Despite the odds, Takuma survives the surgery and the couple's relationship strengthens. But they soon face another hurdle when Mayu discovers that she is pregnant. Now faced with the prospect of becoming a parent, Takuma must confront his own mortality and decide what kind of life he wants to live while he still can.
The film culminates in a heartbreaking yet hopeful ending, as Takuma and Mayu's love transcends death and they continue to cherish the memories they shared together.
