Hypothermia

Horror  United States of America

Hypothermia is a 2012 horror movie directed by James Felix McKenney. The movie features an ensemble cast, including Michael Rooker, Blanche Baker, Don Wood, and Greg Finley. The story follows two families, the Pelletiers and the Cotes, who go on a trip to a frozen lake in Maine for a weekend of ice fishing. Ray Pelletier (Michael Rooker) is an experienced outdoorsman who wants nothing more than a peaceful and relaxed weekend with his wife Helen (Blanche Baker) and their son and daughter.

However, their plans are disrupted when another family, the Cotes, arrive at the same location. Steve Cote (Don Wood) is a loud and obnoxious big city businessman, who brings along his spoiled son Stevie Jr. (Greg Finley). The two families clash almost immediately, with Steve and his son behaving disrespectfully towards the Pelletiers.

Things take a turn for the worse when a giant prehistoric monster, awakened by the strange combination of global warming and nuclear waste buried in the nearby snow, emerges from the icy waters and begins attacking anyone in its path. The Pelletiers and Cotes find themselves in a fight for survival against an almost indestructible beast that is determined to kill them all.

As they attempt to find a way to escape the area and fend off the monster, the two families must put their differences aside and work together, using their knowledge and skills to outsmart the creature and stay alive. Hypothermia is a thrilling and suspenseful horror movie that combines elements of creature features, survival tales, and family drama.
