Hunter is a 2020 psychological thriller film directed by David Tarleton. The story revolves around Morgan (played by Cerina Vincent), a single mother who marries a charming man named Hunter (played by Hunter Parrish) and moves into his luxurious mansion.
Morgan's daughter, Abby (played by Emma Rayne Lyle), is initially thrilled with her new stepfather, but soon begins to feel uncomfortable around him. She reveals to her mother that Hunter has been touching her inappropriately when they are alone, which Morgan initially refuses to believe. However, after observing his behavior, she realizes Abby was telling the truth.
Morgan decides to leave Hunter and protect her daughter, but Hunter is not willing to let her go. He begins a brutal campaign of psychological and physical torture to try and force Morgan back into his control.
As the violence escalates, Morgan discovers the truth about Hunter's past and his motives for marrying her. With her daughter's safety at stake, Morgan must fight for her life and confront her own darkest fears to defeat Hunter and escape his grasp.
Hunter is a dark, suspenseful film that explores themes of domestic abuse, trauma, and the lengths a mother will go to protect her child. The strong performances from the cast and the tense direction keep the audience on edge throughout the movie.
