Human Desire is a film noir directed by Fritz Lang and released in 1954. The movie stars Glenn Ford as Jeff Warren, Gloria Grahame as Vicki Buckley, and Broderick Crawford as Carl Buckley.
The film opens with Jeff returning home from the Korean War and resuming his job as a railroad engineer. He boards with his coworker Alec Simmons and becomes infatuated with Alec's beautiful daughter, but his attention soon turns to Vicki Buckley, the wife of his abusive supervisor Carl.
Vicki manipulates Jeff into a steamy affair despite his reservations, and the two struggle to keep their relationship secret from Carl. When Carl is fired from his job for insubordination, he turns to Vicki to help him reach out to powerful businessman John Owens for help. Vicki sees this as an opportunity to leave Carl and start a new life with Jeff, but things quickly spiral out of control as jealousy and violence come to a head.
