Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is a 1999 Indian romantic drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film stars Aishwarya Rai, Ajay Devgn, and Salman Khan in the leading roles.
The story revolves around Nandini, a young woman who falls in love with Sameer, a talented musician who comes to her house to learn classical music from her father. Sameer and Nandini fall deeply in love, but their love is put to the test when Nandini's father discovers their relationship and arranges for Nandini to marry Vanraj, a family friend.
Nandini is torn between her love for Sameer and her duty to fulfill her father's wishes. She ultimately decides to marry Vanraj, but her heart remains with Sameer. Vanraj, sensing Nandini's unhappiness, learns about her past relationship with Sameer and decides to help her reunite with him.
