Hum is a horror short that follows Helen, a middle-aged woman who hears a constant humming noise in her head. She tries various remedies to get rid of the noise but to no avail. As the days go by, the humming becomes louder and more persistent, causing her to become paranoid and isolated from the outside world.
One night, while lying in bed, Helen hears the humming intensify to an unbearable level. She follows the noise to her basement where she discovers a sinister presence lurking in the darkness. The shocking truth behind the noise is revealed, and Helen must confront the terrifying entity that has been tormenting her.
Hum explores the human psyche and how our perceptions can be manipulated by subtle and mysterious forces. The film builds up a sense of dread and unease through its innovative sound design and clever use of visuals. It leaves the audience questioning the limits of sanity and how easily our minds can be twisted by the unknown.
