In the movie Hulk vs. Wolverine, Wolverine is initially hesitant to take on the task of tracking down the Hulk, having had previous encounters with the creature. However, he ultimately agrees to take on the mission at the behest of Department H.
As Wolverine tracks the Hulk through the wilderness, he encounters a group of Weapon X agents who are also searching for the creature. The two groups clash, with Wolverine ultimately emerging victorious and continuing his pursuit of the Hulk.
As Wolverine gets closer to the Hulk, he is drawn into a larger conflict involving the villainous Omega Red and the Soviet Union. Eventually, Wolverine and the Hulk face off in a brutal battle, with both receiving serious injuries.
In the end, Wolverine is able to defeat the Hulk and bring him back into custody. However, the experience leaves Wolverine with a newfound respect for the power of the Hulk, and a lingering sense of guilt over his role in the conflict.
