How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming is a holiday special that aired on NBC in 2019. It is set ten years after the events of How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. The special follows Hiccup and the citizens of New Berk as they prepare for Snoggletog - their annual holiday season.
The special begins with Hiccup recalling the first Snoggletog after he and Toothless established peace between dragons and humans. He remembers how Toothless helped him continue the holiday traditions, and how important it was to keep the bond between dragons and Vikings strong.
However, over time, the people of New Berk began to forget about their bond with the dragons. Hiccup realizes that it's up to him and his friends to remind the villagers of the importance of their friendship with the dragons.
Meanwhile, Toothless and his family have settled in the Hidden World. The dragons also have a plan to celebrate Snoggletog, and they send a message to New Berk inviting Hiccup and the Vikings to visit them.
Hiccup, Astrid, and Gobber embark on a journey to the Hidden World to celebrate Snoggletog with the dragons. Along the way, they encounter some challenges and face their fears.
Finally, Hiccup and his friends arrive at the Hidden World, where they reunite with Toothless and his family. They celebrate Snoggletog together, and the Vikings are reminded of their bond with the dragons. The special concludes with Hiccup and his friends returning to New Berk, determined to keep the friendship with the dragons alive for generations to come.
