The movie How to Fall in Love follows the story of Harold White, an accountant in his mid-thirties who has always struggled with his social skills and confidence, especially when it comes to women. Having been recently dumped by his girlfriend, he decides to enlist the help of a dating coach to improve his love life.
To his surprise, his dating coach turns out to be Annie Hayes, a former classmate and his high school crush. Despite his initial embarrassment and awkwardness around her, Harold begins to open up to Annie and devotes himself to her dating lessons.
Through his coaching with Annie, Harold meets and begins dating a beautiful woman named Christy. However, as they spend more time together, Harold realizes that they are not compatible and begins to question whether he really wants to pursue a relationship with her.
At the same time, Harold finds himself growing closer to Annie as they work together on his dating skills. He starts to realize that he still has feelings for her, but is too afraid to act on them and risk ruining their friendship.
As the story unfolds, Harold must confront his fears and decide whether to take a chance on love with Annie or settle for a safe, but unfulfilling, relationship with Christy. In the end, he realizes that true love requires risk and courage, and he finally makes his move to show Annie how much she means to him.
