In House Party 3, Kid and Play are reunited with their old friend Bilal (Martin Lawrence) who is now a successful businessman. Bilal offers to pay for Kid's wedding and throws him a bachelor party. Meanwhile, Play's management of Sex as a Weapon hits a snag when the group's lead rapper, Zora (Tisha Campbell-Martin), quits due to Play's overbearing management style. Play must scramble to find a replacement before the big concert.

As the wedding approaches, Kid becomes increasingly nervous about taking the next step, while Play must deal with the fallout from Zora's departure and the group's waning popularity. The climax of the film takes place at the concert, where Kid and Play must face off against rival group Full Force and their new protege, a young and talented rapper named Stab (played by a young and relatively unknown Bernie Mac).

Overall, House Party 3 was a continuation of the lighthearted, comedic tone of the first two films, with plenty of funky music, outrageous outfits, and over-the-top dance numbers. It was not as well-received critically as the original House Party, but it still proved to be a box office success and a popular entry in the series.
