House of Chains is a psychological thriller directed by newcomer filmmaker David Pierson. The movie revolves around a religious couple, Michael and Sarah, who are struggling to cope with their failing marriage. They have six children who are all named after biblical characters and are homeschooled according to their rigid beliefs.
Things take a dark turn when Michael and Sarah become convinced that the end of the world is imminent and that their family must be prepared to survive it. They build an underground bunker beneath their house and imprison their children there, convinced that it's the only way to protect them from the coming apocalypse.
As time passes, the children begin to question their parents' beliefs and motives. They start to unravel the dark secrets that their parents have been keeping from them, and they realize that they may never be able to escape from their prison.
Throughout the movie, the tension builds as the audience is forced to confront the disturbing realities of religious fanaticism and the devastating effects it can have on families.
