House III: The Horror Show is a horror film that was released in 1989. The movie features Lance Henriksen as Lucas McCarthy, a detective who has finally caught the notorious serial killer, Max Jenke (played by Brion James). Jenke is sentenced to be executed in an electric chair, which Lucas witnesses from the audience.
However, after the execution, Lucas begins to experience strange phenomena in his home. He is haunted by visions of Max Jenke, who seems to have come back from the dead. Soon, Lucas' family comes under attack from the vengeful spirit of Jenke, and the detective's sanity is called into question.
Desperate to save his family and reclaim his sanity, Lucas turns to a disreputable college professor for help. Together, they try to unravel the mystery of Jenke's return and put an end to his reign of terror once and for all.
Throughout the movie, House III: The Horror Show features scenes of graphic violence and gore. The film's special effects were created by Steve Johnson, who was known for his work on other horror movies such as Ghostbusters (1984) and The Abyss (1989).
Despite being marketed as the third installment in the House series of horror movies, House III: The Horror Show has little in common with the previous two films. Instead, the movie was originally intended to be a standalone project before being rebranded as part of the House franchise for marketing purposes.
