Hot Fuzz is a 2007 British action-comedy film directed by Edgar Wright, which stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Police Constables Nicholas Angel and Danny Butterman, respectively. The film follows Nicholas Angel, a top London cop who is transferred to the quiet village of Sandford, where he teams up with the hapless Danny Butterman.

Initially bored with his new assignment, Angel soon becomes suspicious of Sandford's perfect record for crime-free living and begins to investigate a series of unexplained accidents. As Angel's investigation deepens, he uncovers a sinister conspiracy that threatens to destroy Sandford's reputation as the safest village in the country.

The film is a parody of the action and cop genres, with references and homages to various classic action films. The film also features an ensemble cast of British actors, including Jim Broadbent, Timothy Dalton, Paddy Considine, Bill Nighy, and Martin Freeman.

Hot Fuzz was a critical and commercial success upon its release, grossing over $80 million worldwide and receiving several award nominations. The film has since become a popular cult classic and is widely regarded as one of the best British comedies of all time.
