Hooper is a 1978 action-comedy film directed by Hal Needham and starring Burt Reynolds as Sonny Hooper, a legendary stuntman in Hollywood. Hooper is getting older and has experienced many injuries that have taken a toll on his body, but he still loves his job and won't quit.
Hooper is approached by his friend and colleague, director Roger Deal (Robert Klein), who proposes to make a movie about Hooper's life and career. In order to make the film a success, Deal challenges Hooper to perform a series of dangerous stunts that push his physical limits.
Along the way, Hooper has to deal with his ex-girlfriend Gwen (Sally Field), who works as a reporter and wants to cover the making of his film. Meanwhile, he also has to face a younger stuntman named Ski (Jan-Michael Vincent), who tries to outdo him in every way possible.
The film culminates in an incredible stunt sequence where Hooper must jump a car over a canyon while dealing with a potential heart condition. Hooper's dedication to his craft and his fearless attitude make for an entertaining and thrilling movie experience.
