Peter Pan, now known as Peter Banning, has completely forgotten his youthful adventures in Neverland, and has grown into a dispassionate adult, putting his work above his family. During a visit to London, Peter's children, Jack and Maggie, are kidnapped by Captain Hook, who has returned to exact revenge on Peter for cutting off his hand and feeding it to the ticking crocodile all those years ago.

Peter is forced to return to Neverland, where he reunites with Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys, but with no memory of his former life as Peter Pan, he is unable to fly or even wield a sword. It takes a series of trials and tribulations for Peter to regain his childhood spirit and powers, with the help of the Lost Boys and the memories of his true identity.

Meanwhile, Hook continues to plot against Peter and his newly regained family, leading to a climactic battle on the Jolly Roger ship. In the end, Peter triumphs over Hook, reclaiming his children and restoring his joyful, adventurous spirit.

Notable performances in the film include Robin Williams as Peter, Dustin Hoffman as Hook, and Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell. Directed by Steven Spielberg, Hook was released in 1991 and has gone on to become a beloved family classic.
