Honest Thief follows former Marine and decorated bank robber Tom Carter, who has spent his life robbing banks to provide for himself. However, when Tom meets and falls in love with Annie Sumpter, a kind-hearted woman who works at a storage facility, he realizes he wants to leave his criminal past behind and start living an honest life with her.
Tom decides to turn himself in to the FBI and make a deal to return all the money he's stolen in exchange for a reduced sentence. However, things quickly go awry when two corrupt agents, John Nivens and Meyers, steal the money for themselves and frame Tom for the murder of another agent.
Tom becomes a fugitive on the run, with the FBI and the corrupt agents hot on his tail. With the help of Annie, Tom fights to clear his name and bring the corrupt agents to justice. Along the way, he discovers secrets about his past and learns that redemption is possible, even for someone who has lived a life of crime.
Starring Liam Neeson as Tom Carter and Kate Walsh as Annie Sumpter, Honest Thief is a thrilling action-packed movie that shows that even the most unlikely people can change and become heroes. The movie was directed by Mark Williams, co-creator of the hit TV series Ozark, and was released in 2020.
