Phil Broker (played by Jason Statham) is a former DEA agent who moves to a small town in Louisiana with his daughter, Maddy, after the death of his wife. He hopes to find peace and a fresh start in the quiet town.
However, things take a turn for the worse when Maddy gets into a fight with a boy at school who happens to be the nephew of a local drug dealer named Gator Bodine (played by James Franco). Gator is also involved in a meth ring that has been operating in the town.
When Gator learns of the fight, he sets his sights on Phil and Maddy, determined to get revenge. Phil soon realizes that he is in over his head when he discovers the dangerous world of the meth trade and the lengths that Gator and his cohorts will go to in order to protect their business.
Phil teams up with a local police officer, Susan (played by Rachelle Lefevre), in an effort to fend off Gator and his gang. But things become even more complicated when it is revealed that Phil's past involvement with a biker gang has also come back to haunt him.
In a final showdown, Phil must face off against Gator and his henchmen, risking everything to protect his daughter and the town he now calls home.
