In Home Alone 4, Kevin McCallister is now played by actor Mike Weinberg. His parents have divorced and he is living with his mom, who is now in a relationship with a new man named Peter. Kevin is feeling left out, especially when Peter's son Buzz and his friends tease him.
However, Kevin is excited to spend Christmas with his dad in his girlfriend Natalie's mansion. Natalie has a young daughter named Olivia, and Kevin gets along well with her. Natalie's butler, Mr. Prescott, is suspicious of Kevin and believes he is causing trouble, but Natalie assures him that it's just Kevin being a kid.
Meanwhile, Marv Merchants (reprised by actor French Stewart) has been released from prison and is looking for a new partner in crime. He meets Vera, a thief who specializes in stealing expensive jewels. Together, they plan to rob Natalie's mansion on Christmas Eve.
On the day of the robbery, Kevin overhears their plans and decides to set up traps to stop them. With the help of the mansion's advanced technology and his creative genius, Kevin is able to outsmart Marv and Vera and make sure they are caught by the police.
In the end, Kevin's dad and Natalie decide to spend more time together, and Kevin is happy to have Olivia as a new friend. He also learns to accept Peter and Buzz as part of his family.
