The movie Holy Lands follows the story of Harry Rosenmerck, a retired cardiologist who has decided to move to Nazareth, Israel to start a pig farm. This sudden decision deeply shocks his family and the community at large, as raising pigs is considered taboo among Jews.

As Harry settles into his new life, he meets a diverse group of people including his Muslim farmhand, his Palestinian neighbor, and a beautiful American photographer. Through these relationships, Harry begins to confront his own biases and prejudices.

Meanwhile, back in New York, his ex-wife Monica is struggling to manage their adult children's lives. Annabelle, their daughter, is dealing with a failing marriage and a desire to have children, while their son David is a successful gay playwright who is contemplating facing his estranged father.

As Harry's relationships in Nazareth deepen, he is faced with a personal health crisis that forces him to confront his own mortality and the impact of his choices on those around him.
