Hollywood Fringe follows the journey of married actors, Richard and Sarah, who have hit rock-bottom in their careers. Tired of the constant rejection and struggle to make ends meet, they decide to take matters into their own hands and create a site-specific play about their experiences in Hollywood.
With Sarah as the director and Richard as the lead actor, they begin to gather a small group of fellow struggling actors to help bring their vision to life. However, things don't go as smoothly as planned as the group faces numerous challenges, including lack of funds, creative differences and personal issues.
As they continue to rehearse and prepare for their big showcase, Richard and Sarah's personal lives begin to fall apart. They struggle to keep their marriage intact as they face the harsh reality of their failed dreams in Hollywood.
Despite the obstacles, the group manages to put on a successful show, receiving positive reviews for their raw and honest portrayal of the struggles of pursuing a career in Hollywood. As they take their final bow, Richard and Sarah come to the realization that their passion for acting and storytelling will always be a part of them, no matter what obstacles they may face.
