Holiday Rush is a heartwarming family comedy-drama about a high-profile radio DJ named Rush Williams (played by Romany Malco) who suddenly loses his job just before Christmas. With no source of income, he is forced to move in with his Aunt Jo (played by Darlene Love) and her son, Roxy (played by Sonequa Martin-Green).
Rush is a single father to his four children, who are all used to a lavish lifestyle, complete with designer clothes, expensive gadgets, and luxurious vacations. However, things take a turn for the worse when they are forced to downsize and adapt to a more modest way of life.
To make matters worse, Rush's ex-girlfriend, who is also his children's mother, shows up with a wealthy fiancé and a plan to take custody of the kids. Rush must quickly find a way to provide for his family and prevent his ex-girlfriend from tearing his family apart.
With the help of his Aunt Jo and his loyal radio producer, Roxy, Rush comes up with a plan to return to the airwaves and win back his audience. Along the way, he learns the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of family and friends.
