Holidate is a romantic comedy film that revolves around two strangers, Sloane and Jackson, who are fed up with being single during holidays. They meet each other in a mall, where they both rant about the pressures of spending holidays alone. As a solution, they agree to be each other's "holidates" for all the upcoming holidays, with no strings attached.
The two embark on a series of crazy and fun adventures throughout the year, from Valentine's Day to Easter and other holidays. However, as they spend more time together, they start developing feelings for each other, which they try to ignore. Sloane is hesitant to express her feelings because of a past hurtful relationship, while Jackson has his own insecurities to deal with.
As the year comes to an end, they both realize that they are in love with each other. But, before they can confess their true feelings, they get into an argument, and Jackson decides to go back to his ex-girlfriend. Sloane thinks that she has lost Jackson and decides to move on, but Jackson realizes his mistake and rushes back to Sloane to confess his feelings. In the end, the two confess their love for each other and share a passionate kiss, finally admitting that they are not just each other's holidates but actual partners.
